The Locust UNMASKED!

Yah that was a bad title, any moron with a computer can find that.
What's cool though is that the dude that use to be on the keys for The Locust is Jimmy Lavalle.

What does that matter?
Well he also has this other band The Album Leaf

They're fucking sick.
Give this a listen.
Rad Huh!
Well it's your lucky day!

I love S&M

bikes too!
Especially if S&M makes them.
This guy does too!

I'm a member of bmx-forum.com, this dude joins. He posts like 6 bike checks in a matter of a week or two. Every one more crazy than the next. His shit is amazing. I don't know where he got the cash for this, if it's his or what. Regardless these things are amazing.

So Empire is working on their much anticipated (well in my mind) follow up to chill bro. The trailer already shows quality is going to be way way better than before.

So fixed gears are cool right?

I mean yah, when you think about it it's an amazing idea.

Lets take a bike, basically a simple machine. Break it down to the absoulte bare minimum and ride it. I means it's a nice change from having a bike with brakes, fenders, water bottle holders, bags, mirrors, baskets, 25 gears..... you get it.

At some point though doing things differently just becomes pointless. Someone grabs ahold of the idea and takes it to a level that is far to stupid to imagine.

Which leads me to this little beauty.....

See that? Yah that's a sprocket guard. Not only is it a sprocket guard, but it's a sprocket guard on a fixed gear.

Now I could run in my garage right now and take my longboard out and try to jump some stairs and do some gnarly handrails. What's the point though? I'm going to break my longboard, and i'll just waste allot of my time.

So what's your opinion on this?
Is it really taking it a step further?
Or... well... stupid?

Down to buisness

Pete Rock is a producer from NYC. Killed it in the 90's (still does as far as I'm concerned) and put together this underground classics comp. It's a must have if you're into Hip Hop or good tunes in general.

He's responsible for the first Nas album (illmatic another must have) the raekwon album immobilarity and put together a greatest hits album for RUN DMC.
