No that's a lie. I actually really like green day. I hate their fan base, but the music is some of the catchiest shit ever.

I know it sucks, but I have to listen. They got a thing for melody.

I wouldn't buy the new album

God Damn It

I hate hipster fixed gear morons.

But I always need to bitch about it.

They aren't doing anything new, and are essentially ripping of every other form of bicycle riding.

I'll let you be the judge
Below are 3 videos
1 is bmx flatland
2 is fixed gear "tricks"
3 is bmx tricks

What impresses you?

Why do I still do this?

Yah nobody reads this, and if they have, chances are i've waited to long to post a new one and they've long since forgotten this exists.

Talking to a wall....

Anyway, yah music is great!
I've had a few beers, let's get down.

Nastradoomus
If you haven't noticed I like MF Doom, alot.

I'm still not sure if Doom did this or not, I keep getting mixed feedback.
It's basically Nas on Doom tracks, and Doom on Nas tracks.
mashup style, no crossover though
but honestly does it get better?

Naw Son

Now this is the version that was slimmed down to fit on one disc
If you run across the 2 part version I'd suggest getting that
It's all good

Braken house show! From my point of view.

First off, it was fucking rad.

Lawlz and The Radness started it off (Me, Lara and Saxton) From what i'm told we did a good job. I'm stoked that we got through the whole set without any major fuck ups on my part. I don't remember Sax or Lawlz making any mistakes either. Lara sounded fucking rad and saxton was playing fucking ace for only playing them a handful of times.

Between each set Cory was doing his 8 bit bass project, which he calls HedTriip. I don't know what to think of this. Well I do, it's fucking Rad. He writes the catchiest shit, and does it on a nintendo DS to boot. He kept everyone entertained and really (in my eyes) was the fourth band playing. I know where he pulls his influences from, and you can here it, but it's still totally unique.

Next up was the Hol-O-Grams. Solid as fuck. I don't really know what to say. It was all just really good music. Carlos, Cory and Nick all had their shit together and you can tell. It for sure got every person pumped to be there. I'm usually really good at classifying bands into a genre, even though I hate it when people do that. I can't put the Hol-O-Grams in any genre though, and it drives me fucking bonkers!

Last but not least was the Meth House Party Band. A fucking explosion inside of an old coffee can, recorded, run through a blown out speaker, twice as loud as it should be and faster then your last sneeze. I mean that in a good way. Had everyone pumped, never stopped moving. Just one of those bands that no matter what happens it seems right. The fucking stove could have exploded and I wouldn't have blinked. So fucking good. Sax, Nick and chessa, I commend you on being the most badass band in twin.

So yah, show kicked ass. Good tunes, good friends, good times, god times and no cops.
What more could you ask for?

AINT NO PARTY LIKE A METH HOUSE PARTY!

The Locust UNMASKED!

Yah that was a bad title, any moron with a computer can find that.
What's cool though is that the dude that use to be on the keys for The Locust is Jimmy Lavalle.

What does that matter?
Well he also has this other band The Album Leaf

They're fucking sick.
Give this a listen.
Rad Huh!
Well it's your lucky day!

Especially if S&M makes them.
This guy does too!

I'm a member of bmx-forum.com, this dude joins. He posts like 6 bike checks in a matter of a week or two. Every one more crazy than the next. His shit is amazing. I don't know where he got the cash for this, if it's his or what. Regardless these things are amazing.

So fixed gears are cool right?

I mean yah, when you think about it it's an amazing idea.

Lets take a bike, basically a simple machine. Break it down to the absoulte bare minimum and ride it. I means it's a nice change from having a bike with brakes, fenders, water bottle holders, bags, mirrors, baskets, 25 gears..... you get it.

At some point though doing things differently just becomes pointless. Someone grabs ahold of the idea and takes it to a level that is far to stupid to imagine.

Which leads me to this little beauty.....

Photobucket

See that? Yah that's a sprocket guard. Not only is it a sprocket guard, but it's a sprocket guard on a fixed gear.

Now I could run in my garage right now and take my longboard out and try to jump some stairs and do some gnarly handrails. What's the point though? I'm going to break my longboard, and i'll just waste allot of my time.

So what's your opinion on this?
Is it really taking it a step further?
Or... well... stupid?

Down to buisness

Pete Rock is a producer from NYC. Killed it in the 90's (still does as far as I'm concerned) and put together this underground classics comp. It's a must have if you're into Hip Hop or good tunes in general.

He's responsible for the first Nas album (illmatic another must have) the raekwon album immobilarity and put together a greatest hits album for RUN DMC.
